Operation Heroes

Raina and her friend Julian attended "Operation Heroes", a pretend deployment for military kids.  They "deployed" to "Asa Isa Creme".  They got dog tags, a t-shirt for a uniform, a canteen, and lots of candy.  There was luncht oo, and the whole thing was free.

Here they are on the "airbus" getting ready for the first stop.

She looks good in facepaint, although she's a little hesitant of McGruff the Crime Dog.

She climbed right up into the helicopter and found a seat.

She wasn't a big fan of the guy in the ghilly suit.

She drove every possible vehicle and truck she could find!

I don't remember why she was crying.  It was something silly.

She looked up into the B-52 to see Daddy's seat.

She thought this guy was very scary!

They visited tent city.

Raina sat on a cot and ate her candy.

Raina is not a big fan of dogs unless they are far away, but she loved watching the military dogs attack the bad guys!  When they finished a part of the demonstration, she would sign "more"!  I thought she would be afraid since she doesn't even like our neighbor's yorkie!

She had a good time.  The weather was cold and rainy for our picnic lunch though!

Think we'll have to take her to the Transport Museum... she'd have a blast!
