We went almost everyday and had a blast! Now we're very tired! It was onlt $20 for a season pass, so how could we resist? We went during the day before it got how and crowded.
One of our favorite things was the room with the riding toys.
Visiting the poultry
The giant sandbox was fun too!
On military day, we got a free steak sandwich meal and free rides for 2 hrs. The tots were too short for the kiddie rides, but they got to do the carousel and a bounce house.
At the petting zoo, the kids could feed the animals using a shovel so they wouldn't get bitten. Raina was a little scared of being to close to the big animals, but she did feed this little goat.
Sandbox again.
They got to try fishing...they liked it but only for about 2 minutes. They did like to watch the bigger kids practicing casting by aiming for a target in the water.
The tiniest tot had a lot more patience than the other two!
Free snow cone!
Not free corndog.
The sand yet another time.
Mo-om! Raina poses by her art journal, which she got a participation ribbon for. What a look!
Our wine got a silver ribbon. It's like second place, except the wines compete against themselves. If the judges rate a wine above 17/20 points it's a gold, 15-17 silver, etc. Theoretically it's possible for every entry to be a gold or every entry not to get anything! The golds do compete against each other for best in class though. I got a honorable mention for one of my photos. There must not have been many entries in my lot, because they gave out 3 HM but no 1-3rd places. Weird. Oh well! All done fair! See you next year!
