At art class this week, the teacher read the book The Napping House and the kids made their own houses out of milk cartons. They painted them and added some paper squares for windows and some grass. Here we are waiting for the story.
Raina liked adding the windows. I think I am going to cut her some scraps for other projects at home.

she looks like she takes her art very seriously
she does! She loves art, both the class and projects at home. Now that she does a baby sign for art (it's actually the sign for painting) she asks to do art all the time.
She's so into it! My little guy doesn't even sit still for a book! Good for you to get her into something she loves so early! Craftiness runs in the family!!
we read books before naptime in the afternoon because she sits still better than in the evening. At night she's moving around constantly trying to stay awake!
Art class is only 45 minutes long, and that includes the story and clean up, so it's really only a few minutes of sitting, and she likes to watch the big kids too. She's the youngest in her session, and the oldest are 5! most are about 2-3.
