Raina's new hat

I am getting into knitting. I don't think I can say "getting back into knitting" because I was never that great in the first place. I made this hat! It's a little big, but should fit next winter.

I make the same hats... and I can't figure out how to keep the ends from rolling up so much. Its the only thing I know how to knit.. hats and scarves.

I haven't tried it, but I read that if you do a few rows of a different stitch besides stockinette it won't roll. I want to try this when I get a chance: http://alison.knitsmiths.us/pattern_baby_bell_bottoms.html
