A Start in Art
Raina goes to "A Start in Art" class at the Taube Art Museum every other week. They either read a book or see a zoo animal, and then make a project related to what they read or saw. At the first class, Raina played with glow in the dark paint to make web for her spider. I learned that I need to wear old clothes too! We did the web together, and then she did the bottom part herself. She got to see a tarantula from the zoo.
Next class she heard a friendly ghost story and then made a ghost and stuck some little gemstone pieces on it. She tasted each gemstone first, and ate paint once. A rough class.
She also made ghost footprints. She liked this part. Some of the other kids screamed when they got their feet painted.
