A bear in a bed

At art class this week, Raina listened to a story about a bear getting ready to hibernate. The craft was a bear sleeping in a bed. She used foam paint to decorate the bed, and then pressed the blanket on it so the color would transfer. They added some fluff for the mattress, and then painted the bear with brown paint and put him in the bed.

This is Raina sitting on her carpet waiting for the story to start. Today she got her own carpet and then put it back at the end. The teacher supplies "paint shirts" for the kids to wear. Raina's was big today, but that's ok, more coverage!A top view of the foamy paint
As always, she had to taste the paint just to make sure it's not food

Looks like she's fine sitting on her own now!

She did sit by herself nicely today, at least for the story. She didn't like when I would step away to take the pictures when she was paiting though. She kept reaching for me. She's a Mama's girl!
