Raina's first year

Raina is an accomplished little girl. In her first year, she has:

Seen both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans

Been to Japan, Guam, and Canada

Flown on 4 trips, for a total of 25 flights

Driven from ND to NY to OH and back

Learned to say Ball, Cat, Duck, Dada

Learned to sign So Big, milk, and bye bye

Learned the meaning of Gentle, and can pet the cat gently (sometimes!)

Practiced swimming, and can sit on the edge of the pool and jump in and can hold her breath under water

Won a second place ribbon in the ND State Fair children's art competition

Can crawl, stand up, and walk while holding onto something

Read many books, including 12 of the American Girl series, The Tale of Despereaux, and Stuart Little

Participated in the March of Dimes's March for Babies (3 miles), the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life (5 miles), and the Souris Valley Humane Society's Furry Scurry Walk-a-than (2 miles).

Helped find 7 geocaches

Visited Niagara Falls twice- once on the American side and once on the Canadian side

And probably more things that I can't think of right now!
