Raina is officially a swimmer! She can swim about 8 feet underwater, and turn around when she is swimming, can go from being upright to horizontal, can push off the bottom of the shallow end and swim to the surface, and can jump in, go underwater, and swim back up! We are working on back floating now but she is not a big fan of it. We are following the uSwim curriculum and are loving it!
Raina is not afraid at all. She knows her abilities really well. When she was pushing off the bottom to swim to the surface, she told me to stop picking her up out of the water when she is trying to swim! She also tells us to back up so she has to swim a farther distance. We have been swimming every day for the past week!
